Four years ago during the last world cup my friend Kenny and I went down to Chile to ski for a week.  I thought I would post some of these old pics since I have not looked at them in a long time.  I think this was the first time I really used a digital slr too.  Every morning we would go to the top of the little mountain via rope tow and traverse over to the uncut snow.  We would get countless runs where we could only see our own tracks each time.  On the 4th of July we were doing a morning traverse and my downhill ski rattled off my leg because of the terrible rental bindings.  So I turned on the other ski and ran over some rocks then did a flip onto my head and shoulders onto some more rocks.  Got up and felt alright but had blood everywhere.  Skied down on one ski to collect myself.  Got to the bottom of the hill and saw a ski patrol who took us back up the road in a van.  As I went in to get stitches Ken grabbed the camera while I got sewed up.  Made it back out by 1150 and go to the traverse one last time for the day just as the ski patrol was closing off that area for the day.  It was the same guy who gave us the ride up in the van, pretty classic.
